For this weeks photo assignment I shot micro. I really wanted to do this because it was a really nice day and I thought some of the flowers looked really pretty. I learned how to use the micro shooting setting and I am really happy with how these photos came out. ISO 100 f/4.0 1/80

For this photoshop assignment we took an image of a car and edited out different things. For example we took out the background and edited out reflections and lights on the car. I really liked this assignment because it helped me learn how to use and apply tools to an image in photoshop.
For this photo assignment I shot pictures of my dog and cat. Originally I took pictures of my dog inside, but didn't like the lighting and how they were turning out. I later decided to take my dog outside and just started playing with her and got these shots. I had lots of fun taking these photos and liked how they turned out much better this time! In this shoot I learned how much lighting can effect an image. ISO- 3200 f/8 1/1000 To edit this photo I decreased the exposure, cropped the photo slightly, and increased the shadows.
For this assignment we took a headshot of ourselves or someone else and edited it through photoshop. We used this image to help us learn how to use the photoshop app. We pasted our photo 4 times and edited the colors to red, green, blue and yellow. This was my final product from the pop art assignment.
Over the past weekend I went to Grand Park in Indiana for soccer. The photos I took capture the location and the soccer games taking place along with people attending. I had a lot of fun taking these photos because I got to capture people doing something I love to do. In this shoot I learned how to take a subject and focus on it, but also include the background. For example in a few of the shot the sunrise looked so pretty so I tried to incorporate that into my shots. Im really happy with how some of the shots came out. ISO-200 f/6.3 1/1000
To edit this photo I decreased the exposure, and increased the shadows. For my first photo shooting assignment I have chosen to focus on the subject of an EVENT. I am hoping to get better at capturing the people at the event and the surroundings and setting of the event. Some photographs that I found online that I will use as inspiration are: I think these are some great photos because they show the people's emotions during the event, the scenery, and the objects around the event. I have a soccer event this weekend in Indiana so I was planning on shooting pictures of my teammates, the location and action shots.
The composition assignment is an assignment where we take pictures of the different elements of composition. For example some of the elements are lines, perspective, color, and many others. We were able to go out and take pictures of things that fit these elements. After taking on this assignment I learned many things. Not only did I learn the elements of composition, but I learned different features on my camera, different ways to be creative with my photos, and how these elements can change my photos.
Hi I am Lauren Rubin!
I am 15 years years old and I live with my family. In my family there is my mom, dad, and my two brothers. My brothers names are Zach and Ben and they are both in college at Western Michigan University. On my free time I enjoy playing soccer, I have played ever since I was little. The reason I took this class is because last Christmas my parents got me a camera and I knew the basics, but I wanted to learn more. I enjoy going out with my friends and taking different kinds of pictures. During this trimester I am hoping to gain more knowledge about the different settings and modes on my camera. |
